Optical sewer cable is used for laying fiber optic communications along underground lines in populated areas. The wire has armored protection, thanks to which it transmits information stably and is designed for a long service life.
Structure and features of the product
A high-quality optical cable installed in the sewer consists of a pronounced core and several optically conductive threads, covered with a waterproofing film. The space between the modules is filled with hydrophobic gel, which protects against the harmful effects of moisture.
The protective layer of the product is a corrugated steel tape. The material protects the fiber-optic cable from rat teeth, temperature changes and external mechanical influences. Ideal for installation through sewers, tunnels, etc.
Other properties:
- a small-diameter core eliminates the formation of intermode dispersion during the movement of light radiation along the optical fiber;
- Kevlar fiber protects the optical sewer cable from any damage;
- fiberglass rods and threads serve as an insurmountable barrier to electromagnetic radiation;
- the armored shell seriously complicates access to information transmission channels.
Sewer cable products can be laid mechanically or manually, which significantly reduces the cost of installing the main line.
